The JLPT is only a few days away, and many test-takers are confused about the new timing rules, strict entry cut-off, and result schedule.Here is a simple, clear guide to help you prepare for the exam day.
🕒 1. Exam Time — Do Not Be Late
The JLPT now has very strict entry rules.
▶ Morning Session – N1 & N2
Entry Time: 8:30–9:10
Test Starts: 9:10 sharp
▶ Afternoon Session – N3, N4, N5
Entry Time: 14:30–15:10
Test Starts: 15:10 sharp
🚨 If you arrive after the test starts, you cannot join the first section.Your result will automatically become FAIL.

🎧 3. Important Rules You Must Follow
Bring 受験票 (Exam Voucher) + valid ID
No entry after each section starts
No talking once seated
Phones must be powered off
You must stay seated until staff finish collecting papers (about 20 min)
Follow staff instructions carefully — any violation can cancel your score
🎒 4. What to Bring
Exam Voucher (printed)
Passport OR Residence Card
HB pencils or mechanical pencil
Eraser
Watch (non-digital, no smartwatches)
Water bottle (only during break)
Tip: Write your name and number on all belongings.

Expect crowds → arrive before entry time starts
Listen carefully to announcements
Check your room number and seat number

Even though this exam is December 2025:
Online Results (MyJLPT):
➡ Scheduled for late January 2026
Physical Certificate:
➡ Sent in mid-February 2026
Digital results appear earlier, and most schools/employers now accept the online score report.
